Recap: Kentucky Bloggers End of Year Bash & Awards

Octane was more than excited about branding the event production of the Kentucky Bloggers end of year awards. Kentucky Bloggers is a regional blogging community that focuses on (you guessed it) Kentucky Bloggers and influencers!

The event was coordinated by Kentucky Bloggers founder Aisha Adaobi and Bluegrass Blog owner Marie Pullen. These ladies know how to throw a party! Let’s recap!

The Details

Aisha put together this beautiful and simple Gatsby themed invite from Canva (because you CAN have excellence on a budget) and from their we took the design reigns in branding the rest of the event.

The goal was to coordinate (not match). In using the color palette we provided the coordinators based on the existing invite.

Let’s talk venue. Marie knew exactly where to go and sought out the best Event sponsor! The Galerie in Versailles was the PERFECT spot to host this elegant gathering! From the beautiful chandeliers and vaulted ceilings to the lush bridal suites and the beautiful open space (formerly a old church), it was the sweet spot for influencer and group photos.

Good Eats (& Drinks)

The food sponsored by Sweet LiLu’s was delicious! The charcuterie board, hot brown tarts and the show stopping buffalo chicken dip were top picks that kept our pictures insta-worthy!

Wildside Winery was setup for $5 glasses and help set the festive tone the rest of the event.

Menu & favors

Menus had all the essentials with that same Gatsby theme throughout. We love the duality of light and dark and pushed hard to showcase that throughout the event design, especially with this custom coaster favors exclusively made for this event. Bloggers gotta drink!

Favors were made with $.15 tiles from Lowes, spare paint and craft vinyl. Simply and easy!

Signage

Knowing that we had some glass panels already in stock (and was trying to rid of them), we made this from leftover paint from our wandlore workshop in October with Half-Price Books. We’re strong advocates of recycle/ repurpose!

Photo Booth

Photo booth sponsored by The Big Event Photos was epic! Lots of fun with group photos and props. You need to use them for your next event!

Awards Presentation

Lastly a big part of awards was the awards & presentation! We had a full slideshow ready to present with each title and the category winner.

Each award was hand foiled with gold showcasing there name and category won inside a simple acrylic stand.

What made it special was the standing recognition each nominee received and seeing the winners see themselves on the screen when/if they won.

There’s nothing like the love from a community you’re apart of. That was what Kentucky Bloggers founder Aisha Adobi planned from the beginning.

Congrats to all the winners!
